Benjamin has worked in a variety of psychological settings for 10 years. He has a special interest in relationship counselling. He has also worked in business and community settings, psychological assessment, rehabilitation and training. He now works in private practice in Darlinghurst with individuals and couples.
Benjamin has a friendly style, borrowing techniques primarily from mindfulness based cognitive therapies. He works with people to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and transition, including relationship breakdown and career change. In his work with couples, he uses techniques aimed at improving communication and intimacy. Benjamin works with couples of all ages and with same-sex couples. His technique facilitates guided and non-threatening dialogue around the emotional aspects of relationships, and sexual intimacy and conflict, to enable couples to move through resistant patterns which can form over long periods.
