Mary-Anne is a Counselling Psychologist who possesses a passion for working with both individuals and couples. She also utilises hypnotherapy on a regular basis and finds clients enjoy the experience.
Although Mary-Anne is flexible in her approach and will adapt to the needs of her clients she does enjoy medium to long term work and the benefits this brings to clients.
Having a working background in both Government and the non government sector, and being particularly experienced in dealing with alcohol and drug issues, Mary-Anne is able to work with a range of difficulties including but not exclusive to relationship counselling. She enjoys watching couples resolve their difficulties and move towards a more positive future together.
Mary-Anne utilises a framework of Attachment Theory and Developmental Psychology which she finds is ideal for understanding the couple relationship. She also utilises CBT, Solution Focussed Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques when appropriate.
Whilst her practice is based in Perth, Mary-Anne enjoys a semi-rural lifestyle with her partner and an assortment of animals ... correspondingly, she is gifted with an affable and down-to-earth character.
