Alex. I have been practising psychology for over ten years. I have also lectured in clinical psychology and have written two books ‘Heads Up’ (which is about the mind) and ‘Spicy Bedroom Recipes’ (which is a psychological cookbook for couples to help them bring love, sex and intimacy into their lives). I really enjoy helping people; it is a strong passion. My extended practice in listening to people and helping them overcome road blocks is my strength that I carry into working with you both in achieving relationship happiness, connection and love. I live with my wife, Marie, and dog, Zac. We live a harmonious life together, and Marie and I love spending time with each other talking, doing yoga, cooking, eating, watching movies, enjoying romantic dinners, acting out romantic moments, writing poetry, etc. We have all a need to free in our relationships. That is the challenge that stands before us as we endeavour to risk our independence for a healthy relationship. A special interest area of mine is anger and anger management; I wrote my PhD on anger and violence, so I take this knowledge into therapy when I am talking with (mainly) males on the value of calming the anger within, pacifying situations, the essence of ego, humbleness, and strategies to manage anger. |
